Student Leadership University 201 gives students an in-depth look at the foundation of our country and will instill in them the urgency to regain lost ground through our SLU exclusive "behind the scenes" experiences in Washington, D. C. SLU 201 raises the bar for every student and will challenge them to really make a difference. Students will be equipped with the necessary tools through exclusive SLU 201 Level Two Sessions in Leadership, Worldview, and Behind the Scenes experiences.
LEADERSHIP 201
LDR 201 Level Two of the Rules and Tools of Leadership, taught by leading business men and women, with the goal of further equipping SLU participants. From sessions with Dr. Bob Reccord, Made to Count Ministry, and his session on Leading from the Inside Out, to Colonel K.T. Poole, Officer of the Secretary of Defense, and his session on Key Traits of a Christian Leader, and Tim Tassopoulous, Senior V.P. of Operations for Chick-fil-A, and his session on Commit to Excellence, students will be blown away by some of the nation's authorities on leadership.
WORLDVIEW 201
WDV 201 Level Two of current events against the backdrop of the lessons of history, especially the faith of our founding fathers. One of the most memorable sessions involves our facilitated three-hour tour by the curator of the Holocaust Museum followed by a special de-briefing, "Can the Holocaust Happen Again?" by Richard Land, Ph.D. At SLU 201, we continue to mold a worldview of excellence in the lives of our students.
BEHIND THE SCENES 201
BHS 201 Level Two in SLU exclusives presents prominent government leaders from the White House, Pentagon, and Congress. In past years, 201 students heard from speakers such as Admiral Clark, Former Chief of Naval Operations, and Jim Towey, Former White House Director of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives. SLU 201 students also took part in an exclusive Congressional Briefing.
All of this combined with a private wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, a tour of the Monuments at Twilight, a session in the Supreme Court Chambers, a tour of the Smithsonian Museums, and a private session at the National Press Club, makes SLU 201 the experience of a lifetime.
**Prerequisite for SLU 201 - Washington is SLU 101.
